Privacy Policy

Luc Identity is a design and marketing studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you contact us. If you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us.
When you visit our website. Our website runs on Squarespace. Squarespace collects basic visit information, such as pages viewed, browser type and an approximate location, and uses cookies to keep the site working and to give us visitor statistics.
When we work with you. For clients, we keep contact details and the project information needed to do the work and send invoices.
How we use it
To reply to you and provide our services.
To manage client projects, reporting and billing.
To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it.
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We don't use it for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect.
Google account data
We use our own internal reporting tool to read Google Ads data for the advertising accounts we manage for our clients. Only Luc Identity staff use this tool. It is not offered to the public.
What it reads: campaign performance, search terms and Keyword Planner data (such as search volumes) from Google Ads accounts we have been given access to. It does not make changes to any account.
How it is used: only to prepare performance reports and campaign advice for the client who owns the account.
Sharing: we share this data only with the client who owns the account. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.
Storage: reports are kept securely on our own systems. Access tokens are stored on our work computer and never shared.
Removing access: a client can remove our access at any time in their Google Ads account settings. You can also remove our tool's access to your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Luc Identity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and analytics
Squarespace sets cookies needed for the site to work, and others that help us see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.
Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers, including Squarespace and Google, store information on servers outside New Zealand. We only use providers who protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires (for example, tax records). After that we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at https://www.privacy.org.nz.
