We use Harvest to track time and this allows us to efficiently invoice customers. You must start the timer before you begin the job and pause the timer when you step away from your desk or are finished working on the job. Please also write a short description of the job you are doing eg. Retouching images as per clients instruction. Below is a video to show you how to track your time.
You can make an addition later, but it is best to keep your timers tracking in the background so it is more accurate. If you are idle for 10 minutes Harvest will pause tracking your time.
Let the account manager know and they will set one up for you.
We use Wrike to show the tasks assigned to you.
Wrike is a project management tool that keeps track of our projects. It allows the team to communicate about the projects, share links to files in Dropbox and change the status of files eg. from active to internal review. Please watch the following video for a short explanation on how Wrike works.
You can find a link to the logins/ passwords you may need here.
The printer provides a regular test of your patience, you are not doing it wrong. For some reason printing from Adobe will often require a few tries. We have no explanation why.
What do I do if I have finished the job I am working on?
Update the status of your task from Active to Internal Review in Wrike and let the account manager know.
Generally files should be named as following:
Eg: BW_Hawaiian Burger Poster_A4_V1
Proofs should be named as following:
Eg: BW_Hawaiian Burger Poster_A4_Proof0
The first that you create for internal reviewing will be called PROOF0A (zeroA). If there is a second internal proof this will be called Proof0B, followed by Proof0C, Proof0D etc. Then when the proof is ready to go to the client it will be renamed as Proof1 (by the Account Manager).
Then when we received changes from the client and prepare the next round of proofs call the files Proof1A (B,C,D etc) until the proof is ready to go to the client, at which point the Account Manager will change the name to Proof 2.
When a print ready proof is made we remove ‘ProofX’ and replace it with FINAL. Eg: BW_Hawaiian Burger Poster_A4_FINAL and save it in the ‘Final’ folder.
Please save all your work in dropbox. The picture below gives an outline of the folder structure.
Internal>Fulton Hogan>Active>Job Name>Design>Proofs
Internal: Generally your working documents and resources will be saved in internal.
External: Burger Wisconsin and Mexicali have internal folders as we do a great deal of work for them and.... not really sure how to best explain this.
They are saved here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pxeyxqel1d9r7cm/AACmlVao_uEDDBq74XzGfTyTa?dl=0
There is a Wilson Parking building with entry/exits off Mercury Lane and Cross Street. To get the $11 earlybird parking you must enter before 10am and exit after 2pm. If you happen to be staying late you need to retrieve your car by 8pm to avoid hefty penalties.
If you will be arriving later than 10am, the best thing to do is park in the open air carpark on Howe Street which is $10 for 12 hours. You will need to download the ParkMate app to your phone and link your credit card. No you do not need a paper ticket as it is all done electronically.
Toilets are located on this level to the right as you exit the offices. You will need a key tag to access the toilets and get back in. You will need to borrow one from one of your friendly coworkers.
Turning on or adjusting the air conditioning is a fine skill to acquire. We recommend seeking Jason or Sonja's expert knowledge.
There are plenty of options around this end of K Rd. Directly across the road is the food court with a large array of international cuisine. St Pierre's Sushi is a couple metres to the left as you leave St Kevin's arcade, Bestie do great sandwiches and an assortment of general cafe food. Mexicali Fresh is always a good option. Wherever you are buying your lunch, we ask that you please take one of our tupperware containers (above the sink).
Vegetarians: Tart Bakery is fully vegan, Lord of the Flies and Tank also have lots of veg options.
Please take note of the recycling/waste/compost bins. We are doing our best to try minimise waste and encourage you to do the same whilst here.
If there is anything you are unsure about please ask one of the friendly faces in the team.
